The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs hosted today at the MEFA, a group of members from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Finnish Parliament, led by the committee’s chairman, Kimmo Kiljunen.
During the meeting, the excellent bilateral relations between Albania and Finland were acknowledged, and discussions were held on ways to enhance cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas, particularly in the economic realm, by leveraging the potentials offered by both countries.
Regarding European integration, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, expressed gratitude to Finland for its strong support of the EU enlargement policy, focusing on the integration of the Western Balkans and specifically Albania into the EU.
Additionally, Minister Hasani noted in the meeting that Finland’s and Sweden’s NATO membership strengthens security and enhances stability and safety in the Baltic Sea region and Northern Europe.
At the end of the meeting, Minister Hasani expressed Albania’s full readiness for cooperation during Finland’s Chairmanship of the OSCE in 2025, as a testament to the joint commitment to address global challenges.
