On the first day of his official visit to Romania, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, held a meeting with President Klaus Iohannis.
The focus of the discussions was the security situation in the region, Albania’s journey towards the European Union, as well as the advancement of bilateral relations between Albania and Romania.
Minister Hasani praised Romania’s support in Albania’s journey towards the EU, describing it as an important partner in this regard.
Minister Hasani will also hold bilateral meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Internal Affairs, Catalin Predoi and the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Simona Brucura Oprescu.
On the second day of the visit, the Albanian chief diplomat will meet with his Romanian counterpart Luminita Odobescu. After the meeting, the two ministers will issue a joint statement to the media.
This is Minister Hasani’s first official visit to Romania.
