On June 13, 2024, the annual meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the SEECP took place in Skopje, within the framework of the presidency of North Macedonia, in which the Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Artemis Malo, participated.
In her speech, Deputy Minister Artemis Malo praised the work of the presidency of North Macedonia in fulfilling the priorities focused on the development of friendly relations and for the successful completion of the election of the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC), Amer Kapetanović.
Deputy Minister Malo reaffirmed the importance of cooperation between SEECP participating countries on security issues with the EU and NATO, underlining that the Western Balkans region remains strategically important for NATO.
Highlighting the vision towards the European perspective of the Southeast Europe region, Deputy Minister Malo emphasized that they are aware of the promotion of political dialogue between the EU and the Western Balkans in order to achieve successful results in the negotiation process. She said that Albania has shown that it is a reliable partner of the EU and remains an important geopolitical ally thanks to its efforts to advance regional cooperation and good neighborly relations.
