Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj received the Director of the NATO Office of Security, Mr. Donald Gonneville.
The meeting centred around the importance of the Alliance unity regarding issues, including terrorism or hybrid threats.
In a Facebook post, Acting Minister Cakaj stated that achievement of this aim calls for increased commitment by all the Alliance Member States.
‘Albania will achieve the aim set at the Brussels Summit to allocate 2% of the GDP to defence spending by 2024,’ Cakaj writes.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of the Albanian diplomacy confirmed to Mr. Donald Gonneville that Albania will profoundly share each and every value of the Alliance, and will remain one of the major contributors within it.
