The President of the Republic of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani received the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Albania Petrit Malaj and congratulated him on his new tenure and expressed her hope that during his mandate the bilateral relations between the two our states will be further intensified.
According to President Osmani, cooperation between Kosovo and Albania, especially in the unification of foreign policy, remains a priority.
“Continuous strengthening of diplomatic coordination is in the interest not only of our countries, but also of the region as a whole,” stated President Osmani.
At the meeting with Ambassador Malaj, she potentiated that Kosovo expects Albania to be the voice of Kosovo in the international mechanisms and organizations in which our country currently has no representation.
President Osmani also informed Ambassador Malaj with the latest developments in the country as well as with the act of aggression of Serbia against the Republic of Kosovo, emphasizing the importance of addressing Serbia’s responsibility and applying punitive measures on this country.
The two interlocutors agreed on the expansion of cooperation in various fields of mutual interest and stated the need to implement the interstate agreements signed to date.
