Minister of the Ministry of Public Administration, Mahir Yagcilar received the Minister or Innovation and Public Administration of Albania, Ms. Milena Harito and her delegation.
Minister Yagcilar informed Minister Harito on the progress of public administration reform. Minister Harito thanked Minister Yagcilar for the hospitality by pointing out that this excellent cooperation will continue with the exchange of experiences between Albania and Kosovo.
As part of the agenda of this visit, the two ministers signed a cooperation agreement: "Capacity building in the implementation of reforms in the field of good governance and public administration", reached between the two ministers in the last joint meeting of the two governments on June 3, 2016. Minister Yagcilar and Minister Harito also signed the Action Plan implementing this agreement. At the signing ceremony of this joint document, the ministers elaborated the aspects of cooperation, constituting, as noted, essential parts of the reform efforts, with the aim of improving the public administration sector, good governance and further developing the skills of administrative capacity in both countries.
After signing the agreements, the two ministers held a press conference before the local media.
After the signing the agreement of cooperation the two ministers and their delegations conducted an open table with NGOs where they discussed "The Role of Civil Society, the contribution and projects of non-governmental organizations in the process of public administration reform”.
At this table, NGOs of both countries had the opportunity to discuss the issues with which they deal, highlighting the public administration reform issues and the possibilities of future cooperation in various fields.
The two ministers together stressed that all these activities would not be successful if we would not have the support of civil society representatives in Kosovo.
