Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati was an official visit to Kosovo. Minister Bushati had meetings with the Speaker of Parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, with Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, as well as with representatives of the political spectrum in Kosovo.
Minister Bushati and the Speaker of Parliament of Kosovo, Kadri Veseli, discussed the cooperation between our two countries and the role of parliament in the country’s developments.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Haradinaj, the conversation focused mainly on deepening of bilateral relations, regional and multilateral cooperation, developments in the region and Kosovo – Serbia dialogue.
Discussions between Minister Bushati and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Behgjet Pacolli, focused on issues of bilateral cooperation, intensification of joint work for increasing representation of Kosovo in regional organizations and beyond, joint meeting of two governments and Kosovo – Serbia dialogue. Minister Bushati underlined Albania’s undisputed and consistent support for Kosovo.
“Albania’s stance is that Kosovo is always the first and we believe that we have been consistent despite the different political stances that different actors in Albania can have on issues of local character. When it comes to this issue, we have demonstrated unity and solidarity.” underlined Minister Bushati.
Referring to the dialogue, Minister Bushati underlined the need “to pursue this process with strategic patience, creativity and determination to consolidate Kosovo and its arduous achievement”.
Minister Bushati discussed with Deputy Prime Minister Fatmir Limaj on the agenda of the next joint meeting of the two governments in Peja, in order to concretize the agreement especially in the economic field.
During his stay in Kosovo, Minister Bushati also held meetings with leaders of parliamentary political parties.
