Cakaj meets Çavuşoğlu / Turkey supports Albania’s candidacy for a seat in Security Council

During his stay in Antalya, the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.

The ministers’ talks focused on bilateral co-operation, the political situation in the Western Balkans and interaction in international organizations, including the OSCE.

“Thank you for the continued support given to Albania, especially for our candidacy in the Security Council 2022-2023.” – Chief diplomat Cakaj expressed his gratitude to Turkey, via a Facebook post, regarding the meeting.
