Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati attended the First Economic Forum for the Western Balkans, held in Munich, at the Academy of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Attending this event were the Bavarian Minister for European Affairs, Mrs. Beate Merk, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro, Mrs. Vera Joličić-Kuliš, etc.
The event was organized as a joint initiative of the Albanian Embassy in Berlin and the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and Technology, in partnership with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich an Upper Bavaria and the Chamber of Crafts for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
The forum was divided into two panels, which addressed political and economic-technical issues.
During the panel first, discussion focused on the importance of economic development and cooperation between the Balkan countries and Bavaria, reforms these countries have undertaken, strategic sectors with the right potential to attract investors from Bavaria and opportunities provided to the Bavarian industry for investing in a nearby production facility.
The second panel was organized in the form of a professional seminar, which brought together organizations and business associations, as well as investment agencies of the region and Bavaria.
The Forum laid the foundations for economic cooperation and joint projects of mutual interest, highlighting the increased attention and interest of German entrepreneurs towards Western Balkan countries, as locations with great potential for foreign investments.
In his remarks, Minister Bushati dwelt on the legal framework improvement, reforms undertaken by the Albanian government in the context of sustainable economic development and the importance of implementing the judicial reform, which will have a wide impact on the economic development of the country.
Following their stay in Munich, Minister Bushati and Minister Hoxhaj will attend the inauguration ceremony of the Joint Consulate of Albania and Kosovo in this city.
