The Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, participated in the two-day virtual meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers, which was chaired by the NATO Secretary General.

The meeting addressed key issues currently facing transatlantic security, such as Russia’s military reinforcements, its approach to China, the progress of NATO’s mission in Afghanistan, developments in the Western Balkans and the Black Sea.

“This two-day meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers was extremely valuable in providing additional support to the project of increasing operational capacity and strengthening internal unity within the Alliance – NATO 2030.” – said Cakaj via a Facebook post, regarding his participation in this meeting.

In conclusion, Cakaj expressed pride for the contribution and cooperative spirit of Albania, since its membership in NATO.
