At the invitation of Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of Austria, Sebastian Kurz, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, attended the 24th meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council, which held its proceedings on 7-8 December 2017 in Vienna, under the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship.
45 ministers from the participating states of the organization took part in the Conference.
At this meeting, which concluded the Austrian OSCE Chairmanship, ministers focused on analyzing the efforts made to resolve conflicts and address challenges in the OSCE space, particularly in resolving the crisis in and around Ukraine.
Also, the strengthening of the OSCE capacity to foster cooperation and revitalization of strategic dialogue on regional security policy issues will be in focus. The meeting also aims at strengthening the OSCE to effectively address new global challenges.
With regard to the Ukraine crisis, in his speech Minister Bushati called on "all parties to implement fully and without delay the Minsk agreements and to honor their commitments". Referring to Kosovo, Minister Bushati stressed that "the OSCE should not discuss Kosovo, without Kosovo, as part of the discussion."
