The Government of Albania will make 150,000 euros available for all the excellent students, who will be selected to pursue studies in the United States of America through the Fulbright Scholarship.
Such decision is made known by Acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Gent Cakaj, who is attending the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in the USA, after a meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs Marie Royce.
A Memorandum of Understanding between the USA and the Government of Albania on the implementation of the Fulbright Scholarship for education was signed in the course of the meeting.
‘This yearly budget will help increase by several times the number of the Albanian students in the most prestigious American universities, who will be attending scientific programmes varying from 3 months to 24 months. Such initiative is actually launched in the framework of the pact of the Government of Albania with the students and its maximum commitment to ensure heightened attention to the students, so as to improve the quality of education, and encourage the highest possible achievements in the university studies,’ Cakaj writes in a Facebook post.
