Yesterday marked the 10th anniversary of the Berlin Process Summit, a pivotal initiative aimed at strengthening cooperation and integration among the Western Balkans. Hosted by Chancellor Olaf Scholz, this year’s summit highlighted two key areas: the development of the Common Regional Market and the advancement of the Green Agenda.
Over the past decade, the Berlin Process has contributed significantly to the EU integration process of the Western Balkans, fostering economic cooperation, connectivity, and social cohesion. While achievements have been made, challenges persist, particularly in aligning policies and meeting EU standards.
As the region moves closer to EU membership, today’s discussions play a crucial role in addressing these challenges, reinforcing regional cooperation, and advancing a shared vision for a sustainable and integrated Europe.
