A wonderful welcome to the exhibition “Albania: Paradise Lost” at the 13th International Francophone Festival SOLEIL,4-5 June in Sozopol!
Ambassador Milo together with fellow ambassadors, representatives of the local government, artists, media, guests of the festival, and the Mayor of the city met at the Archaeological Museum in Sozopol on 4-5 June 2024. They were greeted by the host of the event – Alexandrina Isailova, director of the festival.
Ambassador Milo noted the excellent partnership of the Albanian Embassy for the fourth consecutive year with the Soleil festival and praised the successful joint projects so far with Mrs. Isailova and her work as an ambassador of culture.
Ambassador Milo expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to showcase Albania’s touristic beauties, promotion of tourism and art as Soleil” is one of the most significant regional cultural events dedicated to the cultural activities in the field of art, music, and literature for countries that are part of the Francophonie.
“Thank you Director of the Festival Alexandrina Isaylova and Dayana Rashkova for organizing this fabulous festival which promotes culture and art at the best, to get to know each other, building bridges, and exploring new ideas to bring us closer. “- Ambassador Milo underlined.
The Embassy of Albania participated for the 4th year at this elitist cultural festive, event where different peoples meet, united by the cause of Francophone values, but also as an opportunity to show the Albanian historical and cultural, tourist sites to other countries participants.
This time, on June 5th at the Gallery of Fine Arts in the ancient town of Sozopol, the Bulgarian public is invited to the Official opening of the exhibition “Albania: Paradise Lost” by Nikolay Shabarkov, a partner project between the Embassy of the Republic of Albania and “Soleil” Foundation.
As well a Short promotional movie “Unknown Albania”, was presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania.
Ambassador Milo was welcomed in a friendly meeting by the Mayor of Sozopol Tihomir Yanakirv who praised him for the exceptional support of the Municipality of Sozopol to this festival and the promotion of tourism/archeology/art and culture of Albania. The mayor appreciated the role of the Albanian Embassy as being an active part of this festival and expressed his interest in visiting the city of Saranda and exploiting the opportunities for joint investment projects being both important tourist cities for our respective countries.
