On November 27, 2025, in Toronto, the flag-raising ceremony was held at the Ontario Legislative Assembly in celebration of the 113th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Albania and the 9th anniversary of Albanian Heritage Month in the province of Ontario.

The event was greeted by Members of the Legislative Assembly, Ms. Mary Margaret McMahon from the Liberal Party and Ms. Alexa Gilmour from the New Democratic Party. Also present at the event were Mr. Kadri Dakaj, the Consul General of the Republic of Kosovo in Toronto, as well as representatives of Albanian-Canadian associations and organizations in Toronto, including the Albanian Canadian Community Association, Albanian Canadian Excellence Society (ACE), RH Scholarship, and Albanian Youth, alongside members of the Albanian-Canadian community.

The ceremony was moderated by Ms. Mendi Kabashi and featured the national anthems sung by singer Faton Isufi (Albanian national anthem) and singer Tringa Rexhepi (Canadian national anthem). The event took place in a solemn and institutional atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of the relations between Albania and Canada, as well as the ongoing contribution of the Albanian-Canadian community in promoting cultural heritage and strengthening bilateral ties.
