The Embassy of the Republic of Albania, in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Kosovo, the Albanian-Canadian Community Association, Alb TV–Canada, as well as other Albanian community organizations in Canada, organized a commemorative evening marking the second anniversary of the passing of the distinguished figure of Albanian art, Mirush Kabashi, in the presence of family members, friends, and collaborators.
Mirush Kabashi left behind a rich artistic and human legacy—one that invites every generation to reflect and to contribute toward a more just and humane world. He was an actor not only in the artistic sense, but above all in the human and social dimensions of life.
Through his interpretations, imagery, and spoken word, Mirush conveyed messages that went far beyond the surface; every expression, as well as every silence, spoke powerfully—especially during times when freedom of expression was restricted. His sharp irony and wise words delivered a clear message of resistance against injustice and the falseness of reality.
Like the great philosophers of history, he was neither intimidated by punishment nor by death. Mirush Kabashi has never departed from the spiritual and cultural world of the nation; he will remain unforgettable and honored across generations as an emblematic figure of Albanian national art.
Deep gratitude for the pride that fills our hearts, inspired by the irreplaceable figures of our nation.
