Within the framework of the “Albanians for Albania” initiative, Artemis Malo held an online meeting with Edvin Koshi, Medical Director of the Spine and Pain Institute in Halifax and Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Dalhousie University.

Dr. Koshi is a Fellow in Pain Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Fellow in Interventional Pain Practice at the World Institute of Pain.

The discussion focused on the contribution of Albanian professionals in the diaspora and opportunities for cooperation with healthcare institutions in Albania, aimed at exchanging expertise, strengthening professional capacities, and improving medical services in the country.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to initiate a scientific cooperation initiative in the field of medicine between Halifax and Tirana during 2026.
