Mr. Andris Kesteris, President of the Canadian Baltic Council, former President of the National Federation of Latvians in Canada, the Baltic Federation in Canada, and the Central and Eastern European Council in Canada, was received at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Ottawa by H.E. Artemis Malo, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Canada.

Mr. Kesteris has been actively engaged in community and public affairs, promoting business development, Latvia–Canada political initiatives, and playing a significant role in strengthening Canada–Baltic relations.

Based in Ottawa, in close proximity to key government departments, the diplomatic corps, and numerous decision-making entities — including Latvian institutions — he holds a strategic position that facilitates direct communication and institutional cooperation.

The meeting focused on areas of mutual interest, including economic diplomacy, media cooperation, security matters, and engagement with the Albanian community in Canada.
