The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Canada had the pleasure of participating in a commemorative ceremony organized by the Fondacioni Artisté and its Chair, Arta Rexhepi, under the auspices of Member of Parliament Kyle Seeback, marking the arrival of Kosovar refugees in Canada.
Held at the Parliament of Canada, the event honored 25 distinguished members of the Albanian community in Canada who, beyond their individual success stories, have become important bridges in strengthening relations between Albania, Kosovo, and Canada.
The evening also featured performances by Xhemi Agaj, the “Vatra” dance group from Windsor, the polyphonic group of the Patriotic Association “Labëria” Toronto, Tringa Rexhepi, Kristian Gusho and Eriola Gusho, Klea Cani, Altin Bulo and Albjon Gjorllaku, who brought elements of Albania’s rich cultural heritage to the Canadian Parliament.
This evening served as a moment of reflection not only on past challenges, but also on the roots, identity, and continued contributions of the Albanian community in Canada.
