On November 7, 2025, Ambassador Artemis Malo participated in the forum “NATO at a Crossroads: Present Challenges and Future Trajectories”, organized by the Eastern Europe and Transatlantic Network, with the support of the MINDS program of the Department of National Defence and in collaboration with the NATO Association of Canada.

The forum brought together academics and policy makers to discuss NATO’s current challenges, the war in Ukraine, great-power competition, the arms control crisis, and issues related to Europe’s strategic autonomy. Discussions focused on the evolving role of the Alliance in transatlantic security and its implications for member states, including Canada’s commitments to defense modernization, Arctic security, and the strengthening of joint deterrence mechanisms.
