A highly anticipated meeting was held with Eric Skender Margolis, a distinguished figure in journalism and international affairs analysis of Albanian origin.
It was an honour and a particular pleasure to engage in an extensive discussion about Albania, the historical journey of the Albanian people, and current developments in the international arena. His life reflects rich experiences and valuable contributions, including treasured memories of his late mother, Nexhmije Zaimi, a respected journalist who made significant contributions to documenting international affairs during the 1950s.
Mr. Margolis has served as an international columnist for prestigious outlets such as The New York Times, International Herald Tribune, Los Angeles Times, The Times, Gulf Times and Khaleej Times. As an expert on international affairs, he has contributed analyses to networks including CNN, BBC, France 2, France 24, Fox News, CTV Television Network and CBC Television.
As a war correspondent, he has covered conflicts in Angola, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Sinai, Afghanistan, Kashmir, India, Pakistan, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. He is also the former owner and chairman of Jamieson Laboratories.
During the meeting, ideas were exchanged regarding potential cooperation projects, as well as his expressed wish to revisit Albania during the summer of this year.
Such a distinguished public figure, with valuable contributions to journalism and international analysis, is a source of pride for the Albanian community.
