H.E. Ms. Artemis Malo, Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Canada, participated in a series of meetings held in Ottawa, in the framework of the visit of the Secretary General of the European External Action Service, Ms. Belén Martínez Carbonell, as well as the Special Envoy of the President of the European Commission for EU–Canada relations, Mr. Joost Korte.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Prime Minister’s Office of Canada, including Prime Minister Mark Carney, as well as with senior officials from Global Affairs Canada. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the fields of security, foreign policy, and trade.
Secretary General Martínez Carbonell commended Albania’s progress towards European Union integration, emphasizing the country’s strong commitment to this process and expressing confidence that Albania will soon become a member state of the European Union.
The visit also coincided with the fourth anniversary of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, reaffirming unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
