On July 12, 2025, within the framework of the initiative “Albanians for Albania”, Ambassador Artemis Malo held a meeting with Mrs. Dhurata Ikonomi, Executive Director of the Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Working Group at the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).

During the meeting, were discussed the opportunities on the engagement of the expertise of the Albanian diaspora through joint projects, academic cooperation, and professional exchanges. The role of Albanian professionals in strengthening Albania–Canada relations was also highlighted, as well as the potential establishment of a Council of External Experts composed by Albanian experts in Canada.
