On October 20, 2024, at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Ambassador Sami Shiba attended the Opening Session of the Global Congress on Population, Health and Human Development, held in Cairo, Egypt, from October 21-25, 2024, under the auspices and in the presence of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and which focused on recognizing the vital role of human capital in achieving sustainable development and well-being for all; the deep interrelationship between population dynamics, health and human development.
At the end of this event, the Ambassador held a brief conversation with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Emigrants, HE Badr Abdelatty. Discussed the progress of the relations between the two countries, political cooperation, the exchange of high-level visits, the holding of the first Session of the Joint Economic Commission, etc. Minister Abdelatty, among other things, said that, within a short time, he will visit Albania.
