
On 13.11.2025, the Minister of Labor of the Arab Republic of Egypt, HE. Mohamed Gibran, met, at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital, Egypt, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Cairo, H.E. Sami Shiba, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and historical relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly in the fields of labor, training and regulation of the movement of workers.
During the meeting, the proposal of a Memorandum of Understanding, proposed for signing between the Ministries of Labor in both countries was discussed with the aim of strengthening the frameworks of joint cooperation and exchanging experiences in the fields of training, employment, and regulation of the labor market.
The Ambassador Shiba emphasized that the Egyptian-Albanian Joint Commission expected to be held in the midle of December 2025 in Tirana, will constitute an important opportunity to sign this Memorandum of Cooperation between the ministries of labor in Egypt and Albania, in a way that contributes to supporting common issues, especially regulating the movement of qualified and trained labor between the two parties.
For his part, the Minister reviewed the Ministry’s efforts in developing the efficiency of the Egyptian labor force in line with the requirements of the domestic and international labor markets, emphasizing the Ministry’s readiness to meet the needs of the Albanian market for qualified Egyptian labor force.
He explained that Egypt has successful experiences in cooperation with a number of European countries such as Greece and Bosnia and Herzegovina, where a number of Egyptian workers have already been sent to these countries, which appreciated the outstanding level of the Egyptian workforce, its discipline and high efficiency.
At the end of the meeting, both sides affirmed their readiness to continue coordination and joint consultations, with the aim of increasing opportunities for bilateral cooperation and opening new horizons for Egyptian workers in foreign markets.
