On June 23, 2025, Ambassador Sami Shiba, on the occasion of participating in the reception given by the Ambassador of the Philippines in Cairo, on the occasion of the National Day, met and held a brief conversation with the Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Alaa Farouk. They discussed ways to increase mutual cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of agriculture. They focused on vital areas to increase food security and sustainable agricultural development. They shared the same opinion that mutual cooperation would increase the trade exchange of agricultural and food products between the two countries. They agreed to meet at the Ministry to continue the exchange of views with the aim of strengthening cooperation.
