Dritan Tola
Ambassador Dritan Tola was born in Tirana in 1970. He studied French language and literature and law, as well as completed postgraduate qualifications in various European countries.
He started his professional career in 1992 and since then he has worked in the European Commission in Tirana and in Brussels and in the Delegation of the European Union in Albania. He has exercised various functions in European institutions, as a political advisor, followed various political issues of EU-Albania relations, issues of European integration, European and regional developments, as well as being responsible for European programs in the field of human rights. and civil society, public administration, environment, etc.
In March 2013, he assumed the position of Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to France and Monaco (non-resident) and Representative of the President of the Republic to the International Organization of La Francophonie.
He has been a member of the management boards of various institutions, such as the Soros Foundation, the Albanian School of Political Studies, the development programs of the World Bank, UNDP (UN), the European Regional Environmental Center, etc. He is a founding member of “Lions Club Albania” and “Retromobile Club Albania” (Albanian Historical Automobile Club).
In addition to Albanian (mother tongue), Ambassador Tola is fluent in English, French, Italian, and has basic knowledge of German and Greek.
