Mr. President,

Albania welcomes the delegation of North Macedonia.

As a member and the rapporteur of the Troika for North Macedonia, Albania congratulates them on the successful completion of the Universal Periodic Review and for accepting almost all of the recommendations aimed at further advancing the protection and promotion of human rights in the country.

We are pleased to acknowledge that the Government of North Macedonia has accepted Albania’s three recommendations, which include:

Albania reiterates that the North Macedonia has to intensify its efforts to ensure effective implementation of the Ohrid Framework Agreement.

In conclusion, Albania recommends the adoption ofthe UPR report on North Macedonia.
