New York, September 22, 2024 – On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, held a bilateral meeting with his Maltese counterpart, Ian Borg. The discussion focused on bilateral and multilateral commitments between Albania and Malta, with particular emphasis on cooperation regarding regional security issues.

Minister Hasani praised Minister Borg for his leadership and Malta’s role as Chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), as well as Malta’s important role as a member of the United Nations Security Council.

“Albania fully supports Malta’s admirable efforts in upholding multilateralism during these challenging times,” reaffirmed Minister Hasani.

During the meeting, both Ministers Hasani and Borg highlighted the excellent relations between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening regional and international cooperation
