On February 20, at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation in Tokyo, the Japan-Albania Business Forum was held. The forum was organized by the Japan Institute for Overseas Investment (JOI) in cooperation with the Albanian Investment Development Agency (AIDA) and brought together senior institutional and business representatives from both countries.
The Albanian delegation consisted of the Deputy Minister of Economy and Innovation Mr. Enkelejd Musabelliu, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Mr. Erlind Sulo, the Executive Director of AIDA Ms. Laura Saro, the CEO of Durres Port Authority Mr. Liburn Aliu and representatives of TEDA Tirana.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the President of JOI, Mr. Kenichiro Hayashi, who emphasized the opportunities for cooperation and the importance of exchanging experiences between the two countries. The Ambassador of Albania to Japan, Mr. Ermal Muça, invited Japanese companies to consider Albania as a safe investment destination, underlining the progress towards EU membership.
From the Japanese side, the Director of the Second Department of Europe at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. Shu Tamaura, praised the bilateral relations and the increased interest of Japanese companies in the region and Albania.
Ms. Laura Saro presented the investment potential, while Deputy Minister Sulo and Mr. Aliu presented the developments in infrastructure and energy. The forum continued with B2B meetings.
