A delegation from the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albanian, led by Mr. Gazmend Barbullushi, Director General for Political and Strategic Affairs, visited Tokyo for diplomatic consultations with Japan. The Japanese side was represented by Mr. Seiichiro Taguchi, Deputy Assistant Minister and Ambassador for the Western Balkans. Discussions focused on the strong bilateral ties between Albania and Japan, emphasizing constructive collaboration and mutual support within international organizations, grounded in shared values and a longstanding partnership. Both sides exchanged views on key regional and global developments. The talks also covered Albania’s EU accession process and Japan’s support through ODA. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Hisayuki Fujii, Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Albania-Japan cooperation and exploring new opportunities to advance their partnership.
