On the occasion of the passing of former Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Fatos Nano, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro will open a book of condolences on November 3 and 4, 2025, at the premises of the Albanian Embassy in Podgorica, from 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-16:00.

Former Prime Minister Fatos Nano is considered the architect of Albania’s democratic and socialist transformation after the 90s, as well as a promoter of the liberal and pro-European vision of the Albanian left. He defended democratic debate, economic modernization and political reconciliation, giving an important contribution to strengthening Albania’s international relations and to the processes of regional and European integration. Mr. Fatos Nano will remain in memory as one of the founding figures of modern Albanian democracy and the Socialist Party of Albania, an intellectual with a reformist spirit and liberal ideas, who influenced the shaping of a new political culture, based on dialogue, pluralism and European orientation. The Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Montenegro expresses its most sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Fatos Nano.
