On 20–22 July 2026, we paid an official visit to Montenegro as members of the Committee on Human Rights and Public Information of the Parliament of the Republic of Albania, led by the Chair of the Committee, Ms. Jorida Tabaku.
During our visit, we held a series of meetings with senior representatives of Montenegrin institutions, including the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Nikollë Camaj; the Minister of European Affairs, Ms. Maida Gorčević; the Minister of Energy and Mining, Mr. Admir Šahmanović; the Minister for Human and Minority Rights, Mr. Fatmir Gjeka; and the Mayors of the Municipalities of Ulcinj and Tuzi. We also met with members of the counterpart parliamentary committee, as well as Albanian MPs in the Parliament of Montenegro.
Our discussions focused on deepening interparliamentary cooperation, protecting and promoting human rights, the European integration process, and the importance of coordination and exchanging experiences in implementing reforms and aligning legislation with European Union standards.
The visit reaffirmed the excellent relations between Albania and Montenegro and highlighted the important role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening political dialogue, expanding bilateral cooperation, and jointly advancing the European agenda and regional stability.
