Ambassador Zhaklina Peto held a meeting with the Director of the Police of Montenegro, Lazar Šćepanović, during which the successful and ongoing cooperation between the police forces of the two countries was praised, both at the strategic and operational levels.
The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in the fight against crime, illegal migration, migrant smuggling, and drug trafficking—areas in which significant results have been achieved and recognized by Europol and Frontex. The two sides also discussed joint activities for the summer tourist season, with the aim of enhancing border security, preventing cross-border crime, and facilitating the movement of tourists at the border crossing points between the two countries.
