On June 21, 2025, the Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Blendi Gonxhja, paid a visit to Presevo. Minister Gonxhja emphasized that it was a distinct privilege and honor, as well as a source of pride, to be present in Presevo in his official capacity as a member of the Albanian Government, under the special attention of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
During Minister Gonxhja’s visit, Presevo hosted two significant and highly symbolic events: the Albanian Book Fair and the festive spectacle “Saint Teresa – The Albanian of the Whole World.”

The first Albanian Book Fair was inaugurated at the “Abdulla Krashnica” House of Culture, a historic occasion that placed the book and the Albanian language at the heart of cultural life. Over the course of two days, this celebration of literature brought together writers, readers, and publishers from across all Albanian-speaking territories. The event was organized by the “Mehmet Jusufi” City Library and the “Albas” Publishing House in Presevo, with the support and financing of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Belgrade and with the backing of the Municipality of Presevo.
The official opening of the Book Fair was addressed by the Mayor of Presevo, Mrs. Ardita Sinani, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Serbia, H.E. Dr. Bardhyl Canaj, and the Director of the National Center for Book and Reading, Mrs. Alda Bardhyli.

The grand spectacle “Saint Teresa – The Albanian of the Whole World,” dedicated to the legacy of this eminent humanitarian figure, was organized by the Municipality of Presevo in collaboration with TV Klan News, and sponsored by a number of businesses from across the Albanian lands. In addition to distinguished representatives from throughout the Albanian-speaking regions, the event was honored by the presence of numerous Mayors from the Republic of Albania. Renowned artists and eminent public figures from Albania joined forces with artists from the Presevo Valley, making this a truly memorable and significant celebration.

During his visit, Minister Gonxhja announced that the Ministry of Economy, Culture, and Innovation will soon formalize a cooperation agreement with the Municipality of Presevo. This agreement will enable the implementation of joint projects and professional exchange programs, creative tours and collaborative initiatives, as well as providing technical support and promoting traditions, heritage, art, and culture.
