From June 20 to 22, 2025, the first edition of the Albanian Film Festival — Valley Film Festival — was held in Bujanovac, organized by the Municipality of Bujanovac in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Serbia and several associations from across the Albanian-speaking regions.

At the opening of the festival, the Ambassador of Albania in Belgrade, H.E. Dr. Bardhyl Canaj, emphasized in his address the importance of promoting culture and the arts in the Presevo Valley. He assured that Albania will always remain committed to supporting cultural initiatives that enrich the artistic life of the Albanian community in the Valley, viewing culture as a bridge for cooperation and understanding between communities.

The artistic organizers, Mr. Kushtrim Asllani and Mr. Blerim Hyseni, expressed their ambition for the “Valley Film Festival” to evolve into a traditional event that will further enrich the cultural and artistic life of the region.

The Mayor of the Municipality of Bujanovac, Mr. Arbër Pajaziti, announced that this event will be included in the municipality’s annual budget and official calendar of activities.
