Today, in the Presevo Valley, the Third Economic Conference was held under the theme “The Economy Saves the Valley”, organized by the Business Union “Vision” and the Global Network of Albanian Businesses.
The main topics of discussion included:
• The project “The Granary of the Valley” as a foundation for agricultural organization;
• The quality and certification of local products;
• Access to international markets;
• Support for local producers.
Albania was represented by Ms. Silvana Leskaj, Director of Economic Diplomacy, Culture, and Diaspora at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Ms. Elona Dedi, Counsellor at the Embassy of Albania in Serbia.
In her address, Director Leskaj emphasized that Albania will always stand by the Valley, noting that the development of this region serves not only the Albanians living there but also Serbia and the entire Balkans, by transforming this area from a marginalized zone into one of cooperation and progress.
She highlighted three main directions that should guide the joint approach toward the Presevo Valley:
-
Economic diplomacy and institutional responsibility;
-
Cultural identity and the role of the diaspora;
-
A shared vision 2025–2030 for sustainable development.
