Today, Ambassador Bardhyl Canaj met with the Ambassador of Cyprus to Serbia, Mr. Andreas Photiou.

During the discussion, they addressed the role of Cyprus in advancing Albania’s European integration process, with particular emphasis on support during Cyprus’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. The ambassadors also exchanged views on the progress of the Western Balkans towards the EU and on common challenges, including the situation in Ukraine.

Ambassador Canaj highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and the strengthening of political and economic dialogue as key elements for advancing reforms and Albania’s European integration.

The meeting also served to reinforce bilateral relations and to discuss concrete ways to accelerate this process.
