A timely and productive meeting today, on the margins of the FAC, with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen.

We acknowledged the excellent state of Albania–Netherlands relations and reaffirmed our shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation across political, economic, security and European affairs.

I expressed Albania’s appreciation for the Netherlands’ constructive and principled role in supporting our EU accession process, as well as for its continued engagement in promoting stability, the rule of law and democratic resilience in the Western Balkans.

I reiterated Albania’s firm determination to advance negotiations at an ambitious pace by delivering concrete reforms and meeting all required benchmarks through a credible and merit-based process. For Albania, the key words remain clear: reforms and their effective implementation.

Albania remains fully committed to its EU accession path and to working closely and relentlessly with all European partners for a stronger, safer and more united Europe.
