Brussels: I participated in the High-Level Meeting of the Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children, co-organized by the European Union, Ukraine and Canada.

Albania has stood firmly with #Ukraine from day one of the unprovoked and brutal Russian aggression.

We once again reaffirmed our firm and principled position — just as Albania consistently did throughout its term at the UN Security Council — in support of the children of Ukraine, unlawfully abducted, deported and stripped of their childhood, identity and future as a result of Russia’s brutal aggression.

The abduction and unlawful deportation of Ukraininan children is among the gravest violations of international law and one of the most despicable atrocities of this war. Accountability and justice must remain at the core of our collective response.

Albania will continue to support every effort aimed at ensuring the safe, immediate and dignified return of every Ukrainian child to their families and homeland.

No child should ever become a victim of war, forced displacement or separation from their loved ones.
