The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Serbia, H.E. Mr. Bardhyl Canaj, met today with Mr. Marko Čadež, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. During the meeting, they discussed the advancement of economic cooperation between Albania and Serbia, the strengthening of business ties, and the joint utilization of the potential offered by European integration.
During the talks, it was emphasized that economic cooperation between Albania and Serbia has been experiencing steady and continuous growth, which demonstrates its quality and long-term potential. Particular attention was drawn to the increasing number of tourists from Serbia visiting Albania, as a factor that further contributes to the improvement of interstate relations and to closer ties between the citizens of the two countries.
The need for stronger cooperation between the respective ministries of agriculture and competent agencies was also examined, with the aim of making fuller use of existing capacities and potentials in this sector.
The interlocutors assessed that the organization of a business forum, with the participation of representatives of state institutions at the highest level, would have a significant effect on strengthening cooperation between the business communities of Albania and Serbia.
The discussion also confirmed agreement on the importance of European integration for both countries, their economies, and their business communities, emphasizing the need to make greater use of the opportunities offered by access to the EU single market for companies from Albania and Serbia.
