The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Ferit Hoxha, met today with the Mayor of the Municipality of Presheva, Mrs. Ardita Sinani.

An open discussion was held during the meeting, regarding the situation, the issues, and the challenges faced by Albanians in the Presheva Valley. Albania remains fully committed to supporting and protecting the rights of Albanians in the Valley.

Albanian institutions will continue to closely monitor the situation of Albanians in the Valley and remain consistently engaged, both in bilateral dialogue and in international forums, to promote and safeguard their legitimate rights and interests, to address the concerns that affect them, and to encourage policies that guarantee equality, respect, and fair opportunities, as well as to ensure that their voice is heard wherever the rights of individuals and communities are defended.

Respect for human rights, national identity, language, and fair institutional representation is essential for building a democratic and inclusive society.

Support for the economic, educational, and cultural development of the Albanian community in the Presheva Valley remains an important priority.

Albania will continue to work closely with the representatives of Albanians in the Valley and with international partners to ensure equality, dignity, and a future perspective for their community.
