For the first time, Albania organized an event at the premises of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, in the framework of the 66th General Assembly. Under the theme “Geographical Indications and Expressions of Cultural Tradition”, our country was showcased through unique products such as: “Valmi” olive oil from Elbasan, honey from Bedunicë, mushrooms from Pukë, dried onions from Drisht, plums from Shumbat, and gliko (traditional preserves) from Përmet.

The evening was further enriched by a captivating performance of the National Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances, along with the exhibition of traditional Albanian costumes, which drew strong interest and appreciation from the international delegates present.

The event was attended by Mr. Valon Gashi, First Secretary at the Embassy of Albania in Bern, who represented the Embassy in promoting Albania’s cultural heritage before a global audience.
