On 27.01.2024, at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Berne, the First Secretary of the Embassy, ​​Mr. Valon Gashi, hosted the representatives of several Albanian associations in Switzerland participating in the III Diaspora Summit held in Tirana on November 22 and 23, 2023.

As a sign of thanks and gratitude, Mr. Gashi handed over to the attendees a Certificate of Appreciation awarded by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the RS, Mr. Igli Hasani with the motivation “In appreciation and state gratitude for the protection of the legitimate interests of the Albanian community as well as the promotion of the best values ​​of Albania in the international arena. Thank you for your participation and contribution to the third Diaspora Summit”.

Present were Mr. Arbër and Mr. Bexhet Gashi, from the Association of Albanian Students in Neuchatel, Switzerland, Ms. Aina Hoti from Sëiss Albania Event, Mr. Agron Rahimi from the “Turija” Foundation, Mr. Osman Osmani from the Association/Media Prointegra.ch and Mr. Vaxhid Sejdiu from “Shkola Shqipe” in Switzerland.

The importance of the Albanian diaspora is great, contributing to the dissemination of culture and the preservation of the Albanian identity in Switzerland. The Albanian diaspora has influenced and influences the economy and development of our countries of origin through various ways.
