On Saturday, 23 August 2025, at the premises of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bern, the distribution of Albanian language textbooks for Albanian students in Switzerland officially began, marking the start of the new 2025–2026 school year.

This year, textbooks of the first level (Grades I–III) and second level (Grades IV–IX), published by the Center for Diaspora Publications, were distributed.

The event was attended by Albanian language teachers who had placed the textbook orders, led by Prof. Vaxhid Sejdiu, member of the Coordinating Council for the Diaspora, and Ms. Anita Duriçi, member of the Coordinating Council of Diaspora Teachers.

The teachers were welcomed at the Embassy by Ms. Monika Zguro, Counsellor, and Mr. Valon Gashi, First Secretary, who congratulated them on the beginning of the new school year and expressed gratitude for their dedication to preserving and promoting the Albanian language in Switzerland.

The distribution will continue for other teachers who placed their orders but were unable to attend the event.

A special thanks goes to all the devoted teachers in Switzerland who, through their work, keep the Albanian language and culture alive in the diaspora.
