The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, visited the “Martti Ahtisaari” Peace Foundation, an independent Finnish organization dedicated to the prevention and resolution of conflicts through dialogue and mediation.
Minister Hasani expressed his gratitude for the influential role of President Ahtisaari in Kosovo and other regions, emphasizing his legacy that peace can be achieved through mediation and diplomacy.
He also discussed possible partnership programs with the Finnish MFA and cooperation with other governments, focusing on the foundation’s priority areas, such as the role of women and digital innovations in peacekeeping.
MEPJ Igli Hasani held a meeting with the Minister for European Affairs and Property Management, Anders Adlercreutz.
He thanked Finland for the technical assistance so far and asked for continued support for the preparation of Albania’s institutions for negotiations with the EU.
Minister Hasani emphasized the importance of addressing the measures outlined in the Roadmap for the Rule of Law, a key reference point for the groups’ bases awaiting approval by the Council.
The Albanian chief diplomat said that Albania is grateful to Finland for its steadfast support to the policy of EU enlargement and the integration of the Western Balkans.
