Albania and Türkiye will increase the level of cooperation in the field of agriculture, rural development and food security. In this context, coordinated and organized by the Albanian Embassy in Türkiye, between 4-5 December 2024, a high-level delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, headed by Deputy Minister Arian Jaupllari, paid a visit to Ankara, where it was received by its Turkish counterpart, Ahmet Bağcı.
During this meeting, several areas of cooperation were discussed, such as farmer support schemes, the functioning of the insurance scheme in agriculture, traceability and protection of plants and animals for consumer safety “from farm to table”, as well as the functioning and modernization of laboratories for food chain control. The Turkish side promised technical assistance to our country in these areas.
During this visit, technical meetings were also held between experts from both sides, who exchanged experiences and models they follow in the entire food safety process. This visit was carried out following the Cooperation Agreement signed a few months ago in Tirana by the two respective ministers.
