On September 28–29, 2026, Ambassador Artemis Malo participated in the Second International Conference on the Return of Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War, co-organized by Canada, Norway, and Ukraine.

The conference provided an important opportunity to reaffirm Albania’s solidarity with the people of Ukraine and its support for international efforts to address the profound humanitarian consequences of Russia’s aggression.

Particular attention was given to the safe return of Ukrainian children, the release of detained civilians, and the protection and return of prisoners of war. These issues require sustained international attention, concrete action, and continued cooperation.

Albania firmly supports efforts aimed at protecting human dignity, reuniting families, and ensuring that those affected by this aggression are not forgotten.
