On September 19, 2026, marking the start of the new school year, the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Canada launched the distribution of Albanian language and culture textbooks, now available at three levels, to Albanian-language schools across Canada.

This initiative, carried out in cooperation with the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Centre for Diaspora Publications, began with the Albanian-language school in Montreal. In this context, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to Canada, H.E. Ms. Artemis Malo, presented the textbooks for the school’s students to Ms. Julinda Basha, Chair of the Albanian Cultural Association in Montreal.

Supporting Albanian language education and preserving the national cultural heritage within the diaspora remain an ongoing commitment of Albanian institutions. This initiative aims to expand opportunities for learning the mother tongue and strengthen younger generations’ ties to the Albanian language, culture, and identity.
