Strasbourg 24 November 2024 – Today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania to the Council of Europe, Mr. Dastid Koreshi, signed a financial voluntary contribution of 30,000 euros in support of the Council of Europe’s Action Plan for Ukraine, “Resilience, Recovery, and Reconstruction” 2023-2026. This contribution follows our ongoing commitments to support Ukraine and its efforts to protect our shared democratic values and human rights.
Albania has been a vocal and active supporter of Ukraine on the international stage since the beginning of the Russian aggression in 2022. Providing this contribution reinforces our serious and concrete commitment to assist Ukraine in these difficult times. This act also demonstrates our loyalty and willingness to support friendly countries in need and to promote peace and democracy.
Albania is proud to be part of this important initiative, as the largest Action Plan in the history of the Council of Europe, along with many other member countries of this Organization, and will continue to support Ukraine in its efforts for a better future.
